Beyond thinking.

Beyond thinking.

Lana Costa

Long before I had the language for this work, I had a feeling for it. I have always been drawn to what sits beneath the surface, in the people around me, and in myself.

For over a decade as a Senior HR professional in London, I worked at the heart of how people lead, relate, and grow. I sat with high-achieving women and men at pivotal moments in their careers and watched the same pattern repeat: the more capable someone became at managing everything around them, the further they drifted from themselves. They were performing well, but something quieter was getting lost in the process.

My own life has brought me through more than one significant shift, in identity, in place, in the roles I have held and the versions of myself I have had to grow into and sometimes let go of. I know what it is to be highly capable on the outside while something on the inside is asking for a different kind of attention. I know what it costs to keep going on thinking and managing alone, and I know what becomes possible when you stop.

That knowing is what led me here.

I began exploring somatic practice not as a departure from everything I understood about people and performance, but as the missing half of it. That exploration led me to train as a somatic coach, and what I found was that the most sustainable shifts, the ones that actually hold, do not come from more strategy or more insight. They come from working with the whole person. The thinking mind and the body together. The patterns we can name and the ones we carry without knowing it.

I trained at The Somatic School in London and hold an ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential. I am also a certified breathwork instructor, weaving breathwork into my practice as a tool for regulation, presence, and access to the body’s intelligence.

What I bring to this work is not just training. It is the lived understanding of what it means to navigate a full life and still find your way back to yourself.

This page could end with a call to action, but I would rather you simply feel, having read this, that you are in the right place.

My approach is rooted in partnership

Our sessions are a place to land. You are met just as you are.

We work with your whole self, mind and body together. The pace is always yours, the process always respected, and the clarity that emerges always your own.

In practice this is a real conversation, coaching at its core, with the body invited into that conversation alongside the mind.

What I love most is witnessing the moment something shifts. When a woman begins to relate to herself with more kindness, makes a decision she has been circling for months, or simply exhales for the first time in a long time.
